Visit from Mom

Mom came to visit the week we thought Donovan was going to be home. Unfortunately, delay after delay after a volcano eruption... she missed his welcome home :( 

We had a fun week though without him!

• Drove around post and found the COL and General houses.
• A grand tour of the PX, a must at every installation.
• Went to a spinning class - Mom survived!
• Played racquetball with Mom - her first time ever.
• Went to Fredericksburg where we did some shopping, found a brewery since all the German restaurants were closed, visited a living history farm and saw all the wonderful wildflowers in bloom.
• Laid at the pool.
• Visited some of the other surrounding towns like Salado, Georgetown and Round Rock (where we ate at The Salt Lick) 

It was great week and I had a wonderful time with Mom to keep my mind off of the delay of Donovan coming home.
