Hello all! I definitely have been delinquent in updating the blog from my end and I apologize for that since I know you are all on the edge of your seats waiting to hear what I have to say (sarcasm). The picture to the side is of my room once I got moved in back in August. Unfortunately nothing exciting has happened so I don't have any new pictures to post. My days are pretty much standard as I only travel between my office, the DFAC, the gym, and my room. Hopefully if I start flying soon I'll have some more exciting things to share with everyone.
I would like to take this opportunity to disband some rumors that my lovely wife has been spreading via her blog updates. Firstly, Etta did not punch me in the hallway and ask me to take her to the football game back in high school. I do admit that she punched me to stop me from walking to talk to her (since I was a major stud), but from there I asked her out. It's funny how she twists the story! I mean, I know it was love at first sight for her anyways, so it doesn't really matter about the details ;). Also, she neglected to tell you all about how she would follow me around when we worked at the LVCC on post and always want to talk to me. Minor details, I know, but important to the story overall :0).
Anyways, like in Iraq is much the same day in and day out, hence the title to this entry. I miss my family and my wife more and more every day. I miss the cats too, but Etta sent me a picture framed of them that I keep on my desk. Work has been much the same as it would be if we were back at Hood, except here I get to wear a combat patch and carry a pistol everywhere I go. I can't talk too much about what I am actually doing at work, but rest assured that you would probably fall asleep reading about it if I did. I have been getting a ton of boxes from everyone with all kinds of neat things. Mostly candy, though, so thanks to all of you for my cavities and bad teeth now. I've sent out some letters in the last week so hopefully they get there soon. I try to get away sometimes to find things to send to the family but there just isn't enough time in the day for everything that I want to get accomplished.
Well, just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that life isn't so bad here for now and I am making it through one day at a time. Already two months down!! Only 6 or 7 more to go. Really only over 3 months until I come home on leave! yea!
I miss everyone and I'll start updating more regularly with new pictures (hopefully).
